The HIV Research Trust Scholarships Online Application For 2018 Now Open you can apply now. HIV Research Trust Scholarships is a charitable foundation that provides financial support to physicians, nurses, scientists and other health care professionals in resource-limited settings from low-income and lower-middle-income countries* working in the field of HIV infection. The Trust supports early/mid career researchers.
Applications for scholarships are requested annually from early September to the end of October. For ease of communication with all the nations that might be involved, application is web and email based. You can find more details in the Guidance Notes.
Complete applications are assessed independently and judged by the quality of the proposal with respect to the science, training to be received and value of the programme to the home institution. Once this assessment has been made the successful scholars are chosen.
This selection is completed by the second half of December with successful scholars being informed by the first or second week of January the following year at the latest. Detailed information on the application process can be found in the Guidance Notes accompanying this page. Please note that there are more applicants than can be funded, so adherence to the guidance is essential for the application to be considered.
To help you plan your application, please download a sample application form.
The programme must start in the year that the scholarship is advertised for, for example, applications made in autumn 2017 are for scholarships that commence in 2018. However, the scholarship does not need to end in that same year but must have already started before the start of the following year.
This is for guidance only and should not be used to make your final application.
